A Magical Evening in Old Town Lewisville

In the heart of Old Town Lewisville, a magical evening unfolded under the shimmering glow of café lighting, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for the annual 2023 Shared Table dinner- organized by the Main & Mill Business Association Board. Local vendors came together, contributing their talents to host a night that celebrated community, delicious food, and great music.

Wayne Ferguson Plaza, adorned with a golden glow of twinkling lights provided by Mark Casteel- a local Lewisville firefighter and owner of Fire House Christmas Lights, set the stage for our enchanting gathering. The cool evening breeze only added to the cozy and intimate ambiance as attendees bundled up to share in the warmth of community spirit. The plaza, typically a small bustling hub, transformed into a haven of camaraderie as friends, families, and neighbors gathered around a shared table, creating an inviting space for connection.

Local vendors played a pivotal role in curating the culinary experience of the evening. Bendt Distilling Co. took the lead in crafting a menu that tantalized taste buds and warmed hearts. Plus guests were treated to a variety of spectacular craft cocktails as they entered the plaza and ate dinner.

Dinner was a cultivated combined effort from Bendt Distilling Co., Old Town Wine House, Sullivan BBQ, and Prairie House! The charcuterie meat board was a huge hit!

Irene’s Bakery, Prairie House & Bendt Distilling Co. all came together for sweet dessert treats accompanied by an after-dinner cocktail from the one & only Bendt Distilling Co. and cold brew from The Perc Coffee House!

Flourish Flower & Gifts, in collaboration with Andy's Floral Events, artfully set the tone for Shared Table by incorporating the unique beauty of succulents and bold pops of color into their stunning floral arrangements. The choice of succulents brought a touch of modern elegance and a sense of resilience to the table, while the vibrant bursts of color added a playful and lively atmosphere to the setting.

The essence of the evening extended beyond our food & florals into music.  The soundscape, curated to complement the ambiance, featured local talent Matthew Green who captivated the audience with his live performances which always adds an extra layer of magic to an evening, creating an immersive experience that lingered in the memories of all who attended.

The collaborative effort of our Old Town Lewisville local vendors and the enchanting melodies echoing through Wayne Ferguson Plaza all combined to make the 2023 Shared Table dinner event a resounding success. This gathering not only showcased the vibrant community spirit of Old Town Lewisville but also demonstrated the power of local collaboration in creating moments that transcend the ordinary.

A heartfelt thank you is in order to our incredible Lewisville High School Farmers- GO FARMERS!! Students plus a few parents and teachers help make Shared Table 2023 a resounding success in handling the entire setup, takedown, and serving responsibilities. While the spotlight often shines on our food, florals + music, it's essential to recognize these students who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.

A special acknowledgment to the LHS baseball, football, and wrestling teams, along with the drill team and the student council whose dedication and teamwork were invaluable. To all these outstanding individuals, thank you for your unwavering commitment and for making our event an unforgettable experience. Your contributions did not go unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for your remarkable efforts.

As attendees departed with full bellies, hearts full of gratitude, and memories etched in their minds- not to mention some fantastic swag bags from Kris-Tees, the 2023 Shared Table dinner event stood as a testament to the beauty of coming together, sharing a meal, and creating cherished moments in the heart of our beloved community.
