Erika and Jordan both wanted to concentrate all their efforts on the experience for their guests. They wanted to make sure everyone had the best time and to look at all the images we have… I think they pulled it off!!
The couple opted to not have a first look- something I am seeing more + more of now…classic + traditional has definitely come back in style….but they still wanted to have a private moment together to read vows and exchange gifts. So we found a perfect spot for them to do just that. We stepped back- keeping those zoom lenses on them of course and captured such a sweet moment. I love it when couples trust my vision.
For Jordan, seeing Erika walk down the aisle to meet him at the alter was the part he was looking forward to the most - The couple choose River Flows in you -the Piano Guys’ version as the song for that walk and it was such a sweet moment to document. DJ Question mark cued it perfectly. It was a little cold outside, but that definitely did not put a damper on anything. Everyone was present and was completely captured in the scene.
At one point Jordan stepped on his now wife’s dress and broke one of the bustle loops- accidents happen, but perfect God moments being what they are, they ended up using a beautiful family heirloom from the bride’s late grandmother to pin it up I still get a little teary eyed thinking of it- just one of those moments you can’t plan but will remember forever. Her grandmother was there with them.
Erika’s advice to future brides is to “just soak up every moment. The day goes by so fast.” And it truly did- DJ Question mark kept the dance floor full all night long but all good things must come to an end eventually, so after the sweetest private last dance where the couple got to soak up every last bit of their wedding day they were ushered out with a sparkler exit and got to drive off in the father of the bride’s gorgeous corvette!! Not a bad way to end the day for sure!!
