Liz+ Cody | Engagements

Let’s hear it for these two in blue (or in this case, blue jeans)! Liz and Cody met at the Flower Mound Police Department, both as new hires, and had the privilege of starting their life journey together in…police academy. I haven’t personally been to the academy, but I’m guessing they know more about each other than the average newly engaged!

And, being naturally adventurous people, Cody popped the big question on top of a cliff…after wine tasting! Yep, that’s where we met, at Sunset Point, to snap these first formal pictures of the soon-to-be newlyweds. No biggie, hiking up a cliffside for pictures…just (the fun) part of my job as a photographer!  

The couple will be wed in January 2023 at the beautiful Aubrey venue, Bella Cavalli. The venue, located on 130 acres, makes a stunning Texas hill country setting with generous sunsets, water and wooded backdrops, and beautiful blank-canvas interiors to make your own. I’m sure a lot of the guests are eagerly anticipating seeing the Hollywood-famous friesian horses (no judgement here!) but Liz and Cody have a more romantic moment they both anticipate: the moment they see each other walking down the aisle. 

Other guests may be placing bets on whether the Aggies will be mentioned or referenced at all (perhaps in the colors?). I guess we’ll all have to wait to find out the answer to that! You “might’ notice A&M make a sly appearance in the pictures below, so you know which way I’m placing my bet!

It is an honor to be the photographer for such a momentous occasion in Liz and Cody’s life adventure. I look forward to being even just a small part of their journey. And who knows, you may find me dropping by a couple iced coffees on occasion at FMPD just to say hello!
