A perfect day at Lucky Spur Ranch & Retreat

Some wedding days are just plain fun… and then there are the ones that hit a little deeper, too. Daylee & Dajuan’s day at Lucky Spur Ranch was the best kind of both.

From the start, this one felt personal. I’ve been photographing Daylee since her senior year of high school, and over the years her family has shown up for me & Blackall Photography in the most meaningful ways—booking sessions, trusting me with big moments, and always making me feel like more than just a vendor, but a true friend. So when she asked me to photograph her wedding day, it was an easy, wholehearted yes.

And sweet Daylee… She is still the same kind, genuine, beautiful soul—just now stepping into this new chapter with so much grace. It’s been such an honor to watch her story unfold. And getting to Dajuan was the best too - he loves this girl y’all, and you can see it in every look & touch.

Lucky Spur Ranch - Retreat set the tone for the entire day—warm, welcoming, and full of that laid-back Texas charm that just makes you feel at home. Everything flows so smoothly here- mostly because of the incredible staff, but also when southern hospitality is present its just always better.

The LS Catering crew made sure nobody went hungry… I stand by my words… You won’t ever get fed a better meal at any other wedding venue. Hands Down!

Top Tier Event Rentals tied everything together with details that elevated the whole space.

Now let’s talk about those details… because wow. Those trees inside the reception hall—yes, INSIDE—completely transformed the space. It felt like you stepped into something straight out of a dream. Coco Fleur Events absolutely outdid themselves with the design. Every corner had something to take in, and it all came together in the most beautiful, intentional way.

And Stacey, our planner extraordinaire, kept the day moving smoothly from start to finish. She handled the timeline and details with care, making sure everything stayed on track and that Daylee & Dajuan could stay present in each moment.

Daylee’s look came together so perfectly, thanks to Hannah Mathias Hair—soft, timeless, and completely her.

Daylee’s sweet friend Sadie was even able to offer her video services for the ceremony, so nothing was missed!

And Randy Ro Entertainment—y’all already know… but I’m gonna say it anyway. Randy is the real deal. He reads the room, keeps the energy up, and doesn’t miss a beat. That dance floor stayed packed all night long—and the proof is in the photos! I love his professionalism and the way he just does what he does—doesn’t overcomplicate it, just shows up and does it well every single time.

Super cool photographing Inkredible Dance Floors work too- They created a custom dance floor just for our couple! And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Hitch Hip Hooray rolled in with sno cones that had everyone grinning like kids again!

It was a day full of joy, intention, and a whole lot of love—and one I won’t soon forget. Daylee & Dajuan, thank y’all for trusting me with something this special. It truly meant the world.
