Paul + Stacy | Royal Affairs Ballroom, Old Town Lewisville

Stacy & Paul’s wedding at Royal Affairs Ballroom in Old Town Lewisville was the kind of day that reminds me exactly why I love photographing weddings in my hometown so much. It was the kind of celebration that reminds you what weddings are really about—two people wildly in love, surrounded by a whole lot of family, friends, laughter, and just the right amount of happy chaos.

From the moment guests started arriving, there was this sweet buzz of excitement in the air. Friends, family, and of course, Paul’s first responder family from the Lewisville Police Department filled the ballroom, and you could tell right away—these two are deeply loved. People didn’t just show up for Paul or Stacy individually… they showed up big for both of them.

And before Stacy even made her grand entrance, the ceremony had already given everyone one of the best moments of the day.

Enter: The Flower Dudes.

Instead of a traditional flower girl quietly sprinkling petals, these guys strutted down the aisle like they owned the place—tossing petals high up into the air and letting them flutter down dramatically behind them. The crowd was laughing, cheering, and fully invested before the ceremony even officially began. It set the tone perfectly: joyful, a little unexpected, and full of personality.

Then Stacy made her entrance—and wow.

Her gown from Bridal Boutique Lewisville was absolutely breathtaking. The detailing, the movement, the way it flowed across the floor of the ballroom… it was romantic, elegant, and completely unforgettable. The kind of dress photographers dream about because every single angle is magic.

Their ceremony was heartfelt and personal, officiated by someone who served alongside Paul—making the moment even more meaningful. There’s something really special about being married by someone who knows you, your story, and the life you’ve built.

Once the celebration moved into the reception, Stacy and Paul kicked things off with a choreographed first dance that had the whole room cheering. It was smooth, fun, and so clearly something they had poured time into together.

Our DJ kept the dance floor going all evening, fueled in part by one of the best reception ideas ever: a coffee cart from Night Owl Coffee Cart. Because let’s be honest—after dinner and dancing, caffeine is basically a wedding guest’s best friend. The line for coffee stayed steady all night long.

And of course, the cakes from Irene’s Bakery were as gorgeous as they were delicious. Another perfect sweet touch to an already amazing evening.

Now let’s talk about the real behind-the-scenes hero of the day: Kandace with Pink Arrow Events.

Y’all… Kandace was the calm in the middle of the wedding day whirlwind. Every wedding needs that one person who quietly makes sure the timeline flows, the details are perfect, and the couple never has to worry about a thing—and she absolutely delivered. She handled every moving piece with grace, professionalism, and just the right amount of humor. By the end of the night, we were laughing, swapping Virgo stories, and I’m pretty convinced I may have just made a new BFF. If you’re planning a wedding and want someone who will treat your day like it’s the most important event on the planet, Kandace is your girl.

Stacy and Paul’s wedding was joyful, heartfelt, and full of the kind of moments people will be talking about for years—petals flying through the air, a packed dance floor, and a room full of people celebrating a truly wonderful couple.

And honestly? There’s nothing better than a wedding day that ends with happy hearts, tired dancing feet, and the feeling that you just witnessed something really special. 💛
