On the 7th of October I had the pleasure of photographing my friends wedding in Sonoma, California.... my home town. It was such a beautiful wedding, every little detail thought out and executed with style.
The couple flew me in to SFO -the city where I was born. It's been a long time since I drove through the streets of San Francisco but it had been like no time has passed... the city is beautiful and the weather was, well perfect- that perfect NorCal breeze blowing...if you've been, you know exactly what I'm talking about....Something Texas hasn't quite mastered.
I was able to stay at The Flamingo in Santa Rosa - probably a little more excited about that then I should have been but I was home... even if just for the weekend it felt good. We drove to Sonoma where the couple was renting out a beautiful air B&B to get cleaned up and ready then off to Gundlach Bundschu Winery-one of the most beautiful vineyards in Sonoma County!
The couple was surrounded by their closest family & friends and in a word it was perfection.

On a personal note... a day after this beautiful wedding took place Northern California specially Napa, Sonoma, Santa Rosa and Calistoga was all but taken over by wildfire. Its been absolutely devastating. Please say a prayer and uplift all who live there along with the first responders that have risked their lives fighting this fire. #santarosastrong #hometown
